- Mission Figs
- Blueberries
- Raspberries
- Honey
- 2.5 cups plus 3 tbsp. flour
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1 and 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 stick butter
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2 whole eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 3 egg yolks
Mix up the dry ingredients (2.5 cups flour, 1/8 tsp salt, 1 cup sugar) and then add in chunks of butter pieces to create a grainy consistency.
In a separate bowl, whisk the two eggs and vanilla together. Add the wet ingredients to the dry and mix until dough forms.
Press the dough into a tartlet tin and bake at 350 degrees for 12-14 minutes. This should leave you with golden tartlets.
While the tart shells are cooling, mix up the filling. Start by warming the milk on the stove until hot, but not boiling.
In a separate bowl, mix the egg yolks and 1/3 cup sugar, then slowly add in the 3 tbsp flour and vanilla.
Slowly combine the mixture with the heated milk and allow to thicken over medium heat until very thick. Refrigerate for 2-4 hours.
In a bowl, add raspberries, blueberries and 2 tsp of honey and mix.
Fill tartlet shells with the filling. Place the honey berries and a few figs on top of the filled tart.
Serve your tartlets on a wood pattern cake stand resting atop of a geometric style holder and enjoy at your Moroccan Wedding!
