Washi Tape African Rain Stick

Create African rain sticks for kids to play with at VBS. Paint White Craft Rolls with brown acrylic paint.  While the paint is drying cut two 3.5” circles out of muslin or canvas.  Close one end of the painted tube with packing tape.  Place crumpled tissue paper or packing peanuts into the tube.  Dump 2-3 tablespoons of colorful sand into the tube.  Close the other end of the tube with another piece of clear packing tape.  Wrap animal print and neon washi tape around the tubes.  Attach a muslin circle onto each end of the tube by wrapping a rubber band around the tube.
