Do you have a little one that loves to bake? Invite her friends over to "mix it up" with her at a Baking Birthday Party! This party puts a fun spin on a classic theme and is so very cute! A Treat Cart Stand-Up sets the scene for a quaint little bake shop, and doubles as a great spot for photo ops after the kids have decorated their goodies. Personalized baking hats, cute little aprons, and an adorable free printable collection make this celebration so special, and one that the kiddos will always remember!
Get the fun rolling with an adorable invite! This sweet little Baking Party Invitation is editable, so you're able to add the birthday girl's name and age, as well as your own party details. Simply click the text boxes in the downloaded PDF, type in your info, save and print. So easy and cute!
This Treat Cart Stand-Up will make the kids feel like they've walked into an authentic bake shop the moment they enter your party space! We tucked a small table behind our cart, covered it with Fadeless® White Shiplap Bulletin Board Paper, then added an "OPEN" shop sign to the front. White, Pink Pearl, Chrome Silver and Pink Confetti Balloons surrounding the cart added a festive vibe and a fun pop of color to the room.
Our featured desserts were cake, cookies and donuts served in Polka Dot Ice Cream Cups. We set them up inside the cart window so that the kids could go "shop" at the cart and pick their favorite treats. Later in the party, after the treats were gobbled up, we removed the table and the cart became a photo booth where the kids could pose with their decorated treats. Consider printing out these adorable photos and send them with thank you cards!
A personalized Kids' Baking Hat and an adorable DIY Child's Apron awaited each party guest when they arrived. We used the Hat Name Printable to print each child's name onto iron-on transfer paper, then ironed the names onto the hats. We used the same technique to iron on Apron Decals onto the aprons.
The bakers' hats served as the centerpiece for our dining table. To add a pop of color, and to emphasize our baking theme, we used Cupcake Liners, White Tinsel Pom-Poms, Green Chenille Stems and Lime Green Chevron Paper Straws to create Cupcake Liner Flower Bouquets. We tucked the flowers inside Clear Glass Milk Bottles and arranged them between the baking hats. You can get the step-by-step tutorial for our Cupcake Liner Flower Bouquets here.
The "Mix it Up" theme for our party was inspired by these fun Baking Party Paper Dinner Plates. Aren't they so cute?!! Matching Baking Party Luncheon Napkins and Hot Pink Plastic Forks added additional pep to each place setting.
We fell in love with these Mini Milk Carton-Shaped Cups the moment that we saw them and knew they'd be perfect for a baking themed birthday party! We swapped out the included straws with Hot Pink Striped Paper Straws so they would match our party decor. We added a "Life is What You Bake It" Milk Carton Label to each cup as a fun finishing touch.
After the little bakers were done decorating their creations and consuming all their treats, it was time to send them on their way. We set up a favor table where they could collect goodies to take home. A stunning layered streamer backdrop made of DIY Streamer Fencing, White, Pink and Hot Pink Paper Streamers graced the wall behind the table and created a festive element to the setup. The fencing was easily attached to the wall using removable wall hooks. Once the backdrop was hung, we snipped a few clippings from a Silver Metallic Fringe Plastic Table Skirt and arranged them within the streamers to add a pretty dose of sparkle.
These Large Bakery Shop Favor Boxes are one of our favorite party elements! They're large enough to hold 6-inch cakes that the kids have decorated, or a combination of cookies, cupcakes, donuts, etc. We absolutely love how they resemble an authentic bake shop box and the peek-a-boo window that allows a glimpse of the kids' creations!
We created Baking Party Favor Kits to send them home with each party guest so they could continue the baking fun after our party. We filled Mini Corked Glass Milk Bottle Favor Containers with a colorful mix of sprinkles, then tucked them inside Pink Mini Striped Popcorn Boxes along with painted DIY Unfinished Wood Craft Spoons and Cookie Cutters. We then tied a Printable Baking Party Favor Tag to the front of each box with decorative ribbon.
We hope this baking themed birthday party has filled you with lots of DIY party inspiration so you can throw your own baking party soon!
