- 3/4 c Champagne
- 1 c Granulated Sugar
- 1.5 c Flour
- 3/4 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/4 tsp Baking Soda
- 1/2 c Milk
- 1/4 c Canola Oil
- 1/4 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 Egg
- 1 c Powdered Sugar
- 1/4 c White Sugar Crystals

To make the champagne syrup, mix 1/2 C champagne with 1/2 C granulated sugar in a small saucepan and heat over medium heat. Whisk continuously until sugar has dissolved. Set aside to cool.

Add all dry ingredients together and mix until thoroughly combined.

Next, add oil, milk, vanilla extract, champagne syrup and the egg together in a medium-sized bowl and whisk until combined. Once combined, add the wet ingredients into the bowl of dry ingredients and mix until your batter is formed.

Fill a gallon-sized Ziploc bag with the batter and snip the bottom corner of the bag so it becomes a makeshift pastry bag. Pipe the batter into your donut pan, filling each mold halfway.

Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Remove the donuts and allow them to cool on a wire rack.

For the champagne glaze, mix the powdered sugar with 2 tablespoons of champagne and whisk until it has reached the proper consistency. Dip the cooled donuts into the glaze then top with white sugar crystals.
