- 1 Box Chocolate Cake Mix
- 1 c. Water
- 1/2 c. Oil
- 2 Cans Chocolate Frosting
- Yellow Candy Eyes
- White Fondant
- 3 Eggs
Begin by making the cupcakes per the instructions. For this particular box recipe, we combined the chocolate cake mix, 3 eggs, 1 cup water, 1/2 cup vegetable oil and mixed until thoroughly combined. Place a baking cup in each cupcake tin and fill 2/3 full with the batter. Bake for 20-23 minutes at 350 degrees. Allow to cool.
As the cupcakes are cooling, place a star decorating tip into a pastry bag and fill the bag with chocolate icing. This star tip will make it look like your wild thing cupcake has fur!
Starting on the outer edge of the cupcake, pipe the icing until the cupcake is completely covered.
Place 2 yellow candy eyes onto the cupcake.
Take 2 small portions of white fondant and roll them into horn shapes. Carefully place them above the yellow candy eyes on the cupcake.
Display your Wild Thing Cupcakes on moss-covered pine wood boxes and enjoy!
