- 9 Cupcakes, (homemade or store bought)
- Pink Decorator Icing, 1/2 Cup
- White Decorator Icing, 1 1/2 Cups

Begin by baking or purchasing one dozen cupcakes, in any flavor. You'll need nine to complete the wedding dress shape.

Frost the cupcakes with white decorator icing, which can be found in the baking supplies aisle at craft stores. (Decorator icing is a different consistency than store bought icing. Store bought icing will not produce the same result.) You can use a pastry bag, or just spread the icing on with a knife, just be sure to cover all the way to the edges of each cupcake, as shown.

Arrange the cupcakes into a wedding dress shape. To achieve this, place two cupcakes together in the top row, two in the second row, two third row, and three in the bottom row. The shape will resemble a strapless gown with a scalloped bottom.

Use a spreader or butter knife to ice the cupcake tops together, creating a smooth surface.

For this step, you will need to use an icing bag and star shaped icing tip. Hold the bag vertically and pipe stars over the entire surface of the "dress". Use pink decorator icing to pipe stars to resemble lace at the top and bottom of the dress.

Add a bit of sheer organza ribbon and a bow to create a sash for the wedding dress cupcake cake. This is lovely when displayed on a white ceramic cake pedestal for a Vintage Boudoir Bridal Shower! For larger gatherings, multiple dresses could be created to represent the bride and bridesmaids, or, a larger pattern could be created using more cupcakes.
