- 24 Cupcakes
- 1 c. Butter
- 3 c. Powdered Sugar
- 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
- Green Food Gel
- Canned Chocolate Frosting
- Chocolate Easter Bunny Lollipops
- Jelly Beans
- Orange Starburst Candy
- Light Blue Jordan Almonds

Make Easter extra festive with these cute cupcakes! First, make homemade frosting by mixing the butter, powdered sugar and vanilla in a standing mixer until creamy. Add a few drops of blue food gel and double the amount of yellow food gel drops, then mix well. Add more yellow food gel to make the frosting greener. You can also use green food coloring if that's easier.

Use a star shaped piping tip to frost all cupcakes with the green frosting to look like grass.
Quick tip: Order cupcakes with no frosting from your local bakery. You can also buy cupcakes premade and scrape off the frosting. Add your own green grass frosting at home with this recipe.

Trim a half inch off the sticks of the Chocolate Easter bunny lollipops with scissors. Place them into the middle of the cupcakes and add several jelly beans to look like Easter eggs. Place the cupcakes inside the colorful cupcake liners.

Make the baby blue birds by drawing two dots for eyes with a black edible marker on the Light Blue Jordan Almonds. Use a drinking glass to roll out an orange Starburst candy until it's flat. Cut small triangle beaks and stick onto the almonds.

With the canned chocolate frosting, make a bird's nest on top of the grass frosting. Place the Light Blue Jordan Almond candy decorated to look like baby birds in the nest. Place the cupcakes into the colorful rainbow cupcake liners.

Download and print the free printable Happy Easter and Happy Spring flags. Trim and stick onto colorful paper straws.

Cut a few inches from the bottom of the straws and gently push into the cupcakes. Now you're ready to serve them at your Easter dinner or spring celebration. Aren't they cute?
