- 1 c. Brown Sugar
- 1/2 c. Granulated Sugar
- 1 c. Melted Butter (2 sticks)
- 1 t. Vanilla
- 2 Eggs
- 2 1/4 c. Flour
- 1/2 t. Baking Soda
- 1/2 t. Salt
- 2 c. Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips (one 12 oz. package)

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Melt the one cup of butter then let cool completely. Pour in a large metal mixing bowl, then add the brown sugar, sugar, vanilla, and eggs. Mix well.

Add the flour, baking soda, and salt to the bowl. Mix just until the ingredients are combined. Do not over mix.

Add the chocolate chips to the mixture, stirring just until combined. Place a piece of parchment paper in the bottom of a 9" x 13" pan. Make sure the ends of the parchment paper hang over the side. This will make it easier to remove the bars from the pan once baked.
Place the cookie dough inside the pan. Use a spatula to gently press the dough evenly across the pan so that it is the same thickness across the pan.

Bake for approximately 30 minutes in a 325 degree oven. Baking times will vary depending on the oven, but you will know when the bars are done when they are a very light golden brown and a fork inserted in the middle comes out clean. Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool.
Use a knife to cut around the edge of the bars so that they are easy to remove. Pull up on the ends of the parchment paper to remove the bars. Cut the bars with a sharp knife.
