Place about 1 cup of your favorite flavored hummus in the bottom of a mason jar. Peal about 2 carrots and cut into sticks about the same length as the jar. This second snack is one that my kiddos love! It can be made well in advanced and keeps for a while. We tend to really like peanut butter, but you most certainly can substitute for any nut butter you prefer. Here's my Peanut Butter, Bananas, and Pretzels Snack!

Place 1/2 cup peanut or almond butter in the bottom of a mason jar. Layer in banana chips and then pretzel chips on top. Seal with a lid and let it sit at room temperature until ready to serve.

My last on the go snack is one that I like to make all year long. My husband will even take on and eat it on the way to work. Feel free to substitute your favorite berries in this version. Here's my Yogurt Parfait recipe!

Place 1 cup of yogurt in the bottom of the jar. Hull and chop about 1/2 cup of strawberries and mix in about 1/2 cup of blueberries. Place on top of the yogurt. Top with about 1/2 cup of granola or until the jar is full. Seal with a lid and tie a spoon around the jar with twine. Chill until ready to eat.

And I promised you one tip that I love to do when it comes to mason jars and cleanliness. Place the inner lid on top of the jar, take a luncheon sized napkin and center it over the lid insert, and screw the lid ring over the top of the napkin. You now also have a napkin on the go and can keep clean while enjoying your snack!

There you have it! Three Healthy On The Go Snacks that are very easy to assemble and the whole family will love them!
