Paint your DIY Wood Slat Sign a solid color, then set aside to dry. I chose a light pink color.

Download the Free Wooden Pineapple Sign Printable here! and print on white paper stock. Trace around the pineapple; I used a yellow colored pencil for the bottom and a green for the top so the lines would coordinate with my paint colors. You could easily use a regular pencil and just trace lightly so the paint would cover the lines.

Paint the bottom of the pineapple yellow, and then the top green.

While the paint on the pineapple is drying, paint several sizes of the Unfinished Wood Diamonds in varying colors.

I have horrible handwriting, but love to paint signs, so I use this easy peasy trick to transfer words or designs to my signs! Start by printing the words 'Stand Tall' from the printable found on the right below the supply list. Cut around each word to separate. Rub the backside of both words using chalk. Flip the words over and position them on your sign where you'd like them to be, and then trace over the outline of the words using a pencil. This will transfer faint chalk outlines of the words, which you can then paint over and fill in. I chose a darker pink paint for mine, but the sky's the limit!

Next, attach the painted wooden diamonds on the yellow portion of your pineapple using hot glue. I didn't follow a set pattern but tried to mix and match the different sizes and colors as best as I could get them to fit.

Finally, display your new creation proudly at your party! I added mine as a splash of color to our favors table during our Tropical Pineapple Flamingle Party. The best part is, it's now hanging in my office for a touch of whimsy!
