Use your fingers or a pair of pliers to pry apart the eye ring holding the charm on Black Graduation Tassel Keychains. Once the ring is open, remove the ring and the charm from the tassel. Save the charm for another use or discard.

Next, you'll add an animal print design onto stained wooden beads. Begin by using a Marvy® White Broad Point Chalk Marker to add random sized white spots all around each stained bead. If you can't find stained wooden beads, you can use your own stain to color DIY Unfinished Wood Round Beads. You will need one stained bead for each keychain you plan to make.

After the white ink has dried, use a fine point Black American Crafts™ Permanent Chalk Marker to add black inside each white spot, being careful to leave a thin line of white showing around the rim of each shape.

After the black ink has dried, repeat the process in Step 3, this time using a Gold American Crafts™ Permanent Chalk Marker. Be sure to leave a thin line of black showing around the rim of the gold ink.

Now it's time to create the keychains! Cut a 10" length of Black Hemp Cording for each keychain. Fold the cording evenly in half. Stick a couple inches of the folded end of the cording through the keychain ring, then thread the two loose ends through the looped end. Pull tightly to secure the cording onto the keychain ring as shown in the image.

Thread the two loose ends of cording through an unfinished wood bead. Repeat with one of your animal print beads, then another unfinished bead. Each keychain will use three total beads; two unfinished and one painted.

Slide the beads up until they are flush with the keychain ring, then tie the cording into a knot. Be sure that the knot is larger than the bead hole so that the beads will stay securely on the keychain.

Display the keychains at your party for all to admire! To display ours, we lined a wooden tray with gold card stock, then stood the tray on its side. We secured clear removable wall hooks to the inside of the tray and hung the keychains from them to create a pretty presentation. The 5x7 favor sign shown in the picture is available as a free download in our Boho Safari Baby Shower Printable Collection. Enjoy!
