Section off a Large, Medium or Small Round Wood Centerpiece with Washi Tape. Using acrylic paint and a flat bristled paint brush, paint each section of the wood allowing one section to dry completely before taping off and moving to the next.

Place the ribbon spools you plan on storing onto the wood slice. Arrange the ribbon spools to be sure that the they fit nicely onto the wood slice. Use a pencil or marker to mark where the spool centers are. This will be a guide for drilling the holes.

Check the size of your wooden dowels. I used ⅝” round dowels, but you can use any sized dowel, just as long as they fit through the holes in your ribbon spools. Using the marks as guides, drill holes all the way through the wood slice. The holes should be slightly smaller than your dowel size.

Cut your dowels down to 8”. Add a drop of Wood Glue to the end of the dowel and hammer them into the drilled holes.

Store ribbon or washi tape on the dowels to be ultra-organized. Don’t forget to check out the other Craft Room Organization Crafts by clicking here.
