Place the wood bead on one of the bamboo skewers.

Add a piece of washi tape between the beads to help keep them separated and stay on the bamboo skewer.

Paint the unfinished wood beads with acrylic craft paint. Use fall colors like orange, gray and sage green to give the beads a fall-inspired vibe.

String the wood beads in a pattern onto a piece of natural jute cording. I alternated mine between 3 large beads and 2 small ones, but you can choose what pattern you like best.

As part of your pattern add yarn pom-poms to give the garland added texture and style. Again, I used 1 large pom-pom and 2 smaller ones in my pattern, but feel free to play around with it until you find a pattern you like.

Make a variety of patterns, texture and colored garlands to string along your fall mantle.
