Start the craft by giving each student a black piece of construction paper. Explain how the color black represents our sins, the wrong things we do, and that it is because of our sin that we can't go to heaven without Jesus.

Next, hold up a red cut out heart and explain that the good news is that God loves us so much that He wanted to make a way for us to be with Him! So, He sent His Son Jesus, to die on the cross so that we can be forgiven of our sins. Have the students glue the heart to the middle of the black piece of construction paper.

Then, hold up the Cross Sticky Board and read the Isaiah 1:18 verse on the printable. Download the Free White as Snow Printable here! Explain that it is through the work on the cross that Jesus cleanses (or washes) our sins away and makes them as white as snow. Have students glue the "Jesus Makes Our Sins as White as Snow" heading onto the top of the page and the Cross Sticky Boards on top of the heart with the yellow side up. Glue dots work great to stick the cross to the heart.

To finish the craft, have students pull off the yellow part of the cross and then crumple up the white tissue paper squares to cover all of the Cross Sticky Board. You can also make your own tissue paper squares by cutting them from white tissue paper.
