
Mix the orange and white acrylic paint together to make a peachy color for the doll’s skin. Use brown and white to make tanned skin or darker skin tones. Paint the craft rolls and allow them to dry.
For the hula skirt, cut a piece of patterned paper about 1.5″ in width and 6″ in length. Cut small slits onto one end (lengthwise) of the hula skirt. Glue the hula skirt onto the craft roll doll. Repeat for the fringe top bathing suit, only make it ½” in width and 6″ in length.

For the board shorts, cut a strip of patterned paper that is 1.5″ in width and 6″ in length, making sure the length wraps around the entire craft roll. Glue the strip to the bottom of the craft roll. Cut a small triangle out of the front and back of the roll to create the legs.

To make the seashell bikini top, cut two small circles from the patterned paper. Glue the circles on the doll, leaving a small space in between them. Use the fine tip marker to draw the lines for the bikini top.

Use colored construction paper to create the craft roll doll hair. For the girl dolls, simply cut strips of paper and curl the ends using your finger or marker. Glue the strips of hair to the doll. For the boy’s hair, cut one strip of construction paper ¾ ” wide and 6″ in length. Cut out some bangs to give him a hairstyle and glue to the craft roll. Use the fine tip markers to draw eyes, mouth and belly buttons!
