Make three balls in small, medium and large out of Air Dry Modeling Clay. Stack them on top of each other. Cut a tiny tip off the top of a toothpick and gently push into the bottom ball so each ball is connected by the toothpick. We made a scarf, hats, lumps of coal and carrot noses for the snowmen. Tiny twigs were used for the arms. Place the accessories on the snowmen. While the snowmen are drying, cut ribbon to go around the silver cap of the Terrarium Christmas Ornaments. Use a dot of glue to secure the ribbon.

Press a ball of white clay into the base of each ornament. Smooth in place with your fingers. Don’t worry about finger prints. You will not see them after you add the craft snow. Push the Mini Frosted Sisal Tree into the snow mound. We added clay around the base of the trees to hide the wood.

Add the snowmen into the snowy mound. You only get one shot at this so don’t squeeze the snowman to tightly or you will mush him. We had several snowman tragedies. No worries because there is plenty of clay in the containers. We had so much left over we made 3 more terrariums and a bunch of other fun things!

Add a pinch of the craft snow into the terrarium. Give it a gentle tap to hold it in place. Cut Green Baker’s Twine to hang the terrarium ornaments.
I hope your family has as fun creating these sweet ornaments as mine did! Happy holidays!
