I took a tote and ironed on “iron on” vinyl lettering. These iron on letters are sold at most craft stores, or you can use a cutting machine like a Cricut. I love the contrast of white, bold letters on the bright bags.
After printing the Free Printable, cut them out and slide them into the Super Safe Name Tags pocket. I like to leave in the heavy duty cardstock piece that comes in the name tag. Write the child’s name at the top of the Library Card tag.
A great trick for Library Card storage, is to slide it in the back of the tag. This helps to keep the library card from getting misplaced. It’s so easy for little hands to slide it in and out…and it stays put!
For the final touch, cut the ribbon on the name tag, leaving about 3-4 inches on each side. You can then tie the name tag onto a bag handle. Tie it up with a double knot and cut of the excess ribbon.
These Library Totes can help SPARK summer reading at home! I believe in fun ways to get kids reading! They will love it!
