On a cut out frame or store bought frame spritz around water with a spray bottle until the entire frame is saturated. Then, add squares of tissue paper to cover the whole thing and spray again with water from the spray bottle. The water will act like glue and hold the tissue paper in place. Leave the tissue on for 20 minutes or so and then peel it off. The color from the tissue paper will leave a super cool bleeding effect on the frame.

Use the droppers to drop liquid watercolors onto your watercolor paper. Take a straw and blow the liquid watercolors creating “fireworks.” If this part is challenging, or just for extra fun, take out a toothbrush and spread the watercolors around with the toothbrush, creating your own fireworks.

Add glitter right on top of the watercolors. Get those fireworks to really shine! If you have any big puddles of watercolor on your paper, you can soak it up with a paper towel. This part is really fun for the kids too. Add as much glitter as you want.

Once everything is dry, glue on a black and white printout of your child. I like to cut a silouette around the picture to make it really special looking. Tape the frame on the back side, around the firework painting and you’re ready to hang! Feel free to add some fun glitter stickers too!
Happy celebrating everyone!
