First create the spooky and misty colored gray of the Upside Down world. Cut a gray tablecloth into a rectangle backdrop shape. Cut to fit the size of your space.
I tucked any frayed edges under when I used command strips to hang it to the wall. Alternatively, leave the strands showing....after all the Upside Down is not neat!

Next find a large circular shape in your house. I used a small circular table and tipped it upside down onto the Fadeless® Art Black Paper Roll.
Use half of the shape on the paper, the other half is not on the paper. Trace the shape to give you a large semi circle moon.
Once you have the semi circle shape, cut it out and use Glue Dots® - XL to attach it to the gray backdrop.

At either side of the gray backdrop place 2 large removable command hooks.
Then take several lengths of Black Tulle and wrap it between the 2 hooks. I looped it at one end and tied it off at the other. I went between the 2 hooks approx 3 times to get a thick piece of tulle.
A little slack in the middle over the moon is fine.
Note: Although I have permanent hooks in my house, command hooks will be sufficient for this backdrop.

Next, add small command hooks approx 4 feet out from the backdrop. Hang a piece of tulle from the ceiling between these hooks and the back wall hooks.
Use small command strips to address any sagging. There should be some sag to show movement in the tulle.
Next, cut small slots in the tulle down the center line (parallel to the backdrop) and insert 6 command hooks.
Space them out to match the width of 3 Light-Up Wire Ghost Trees. 2 for each tree.
Turn the trees' upside down and hang them from the hooks using the wire tree roots.

Next, cut large jagged pieces of black paper. There is no right or wrong for these cuts. Cut sharp edged pieces that will be used to show cracks in the wall.
On the left side I positioned the cracks to create a circle, with the cracks extending outwards (A figure will emerge from this space in the next steps).
On the right side I added cracks starting from the outer edge and getting smaller as they moved inwards. Attach with Glue Dots® - XL. I also purchased a missing poster on Etsy and added these down the side.

Next, in the middle of the circular space left for the emerging figure cut through the backdrop and insert a couple of command hooks.
Tip: I held the skeleton frame up in front of the space and marked out where the rib bones would be and placed the hooks there.

Next, remove the arm, leg and pelvis bones from the Life Size Posable Skeleton.
Spray paint the front of the body black. This way if the skeleton can be seen through your backdrop materials it has a spooky, black look.
Next, wrap the torso in the remnants of the gray tablecloth. Duct Tape® the closure at the back of the skeleton torso.
Note: You can use other body parts (e.g. hands) in the same way to show other figures reaching through from the Upside Down.
Note: If you have a larger backdrop you may need a second piece of fabric.

Using the rib bones hang the wrapped skeleton torso onto the wall hooks.
Use the string provided in the top of the skull (add additional string to get the desired length) to hang the skull from the larger hook at the top left of the backdrop.
You will need approx 3 hooks to hold the weight of the skeleton.
Cover the string with black tulle to fit in with the look of the backdrop.

Finally, take lengths of Black Tulle and wrap these around the skeleton so that highlights of gray can still be seen through from the front.
The tulle is so light it can be tucked in behind the hanging torso.
Tip: Use tulle to fill any gaps in the hole behind the torso i.e. if there is too much gray showing.

The backdrop is now complete. You can learn how to create the Happy Halloween banner to add across the front of the backdrop.
