Start this project by downloading the Stay Cozy Free Printable here and printing it out on your home printer. Flip over the paper and using a pencil, shade in all the area that has the wording. Next, place the text face up on the Whitewashed Wooden Ornament and using your pencil again, trace the outline of the letters. This will transfer the pencil lead onto the wood and you can use a thin tipped Sharpie® to fill in or color the words.

After the wording is in place on your ornament, it's time to add a little more sparkle! Using a sponge brush, add a thin layer of Mod Podge® along the outer edges of your ornament. Be sure not to cover up the Stay COZY text. After you have applied the Mod Podge®, sprinkle Iridescent Glitter over top. Set aside to dry while you work on the next step.

The next step is my favorite because I love the magic of marbling! I used three unfinished wooden snowflakes and started by painting them white. Next, fill a disposable plastic container with a few inches of luke-warm water. Open and remove the lids to your nail polish bottles and set lids aside. You will need to work quickly on this part, so removing the lids ahead of time is an important step. Pour a few swirls of each color of nail polish into your container of water and immediately dip each of your wooden snowflakes into the water. Set them aside on a paper plate to dry.

The last step is the very simple. The wooden snowflakes come with an adhesive backing, so once they are dry, simply remove the backing and stick them onto your Wooden Ornament!

I hung my Wooden Ornament with some yarn and created a little winter wonderland vignette with large sisal trees, white sisal trees, gold glitter star garland, unfinished wooden stand-up churches (I painted them white and added colored glitter to their eaves) and some simple pom poms! I love how everything turned out.
