Using a sponge brush apply a thin layer of mod podge to the bottom half of your shell.
Place a sheet of copper foil leaf on top of the shell.
Use a sponge brush to gently wipe away any extra pieces of copper foil.
Once your copper foil has dried use a black calligraphy pen to add your guests names to each place card.
While your place cards are drying spray paint a small scallop tray white. Fill your scallop tray with sand and arrange the shell place cards so guests can easily spot their card.
