Start by personalizing the customizable canvas bags with the word of your choice. I ordered a set of three bags with the words "create", "make", and "craft". You could label them with specific supplies or personalize them with your name if you want instead! Then choose your favorite colors of cotton rickrack trim and cut strips long enough to decorate the bag in whatever pattern or design you like.
Decide where you want to place the rickrack strips on the bag, and adhere to the bag with a bead of hot glue on the backside of the rickrack, adding just an inch or so at a time and then pressing the rickrack onto the bag.
Add more strips of rickrack to complete your design. Trim any rickrack that extends beyond the bag with scissors.
Add some additional color to your bag with rainbow faux leather tassels. Attach them to the zipper by carefully untying the existing yarn tassel and threading the leather tassels onto it. Retie the tassels onto the zipper.
Have fun creating different patterns and color combinations of rickrack to create a set of bags. Fill them with your favorite craft supplies that you can take with you wherever you go!
