First we will create the lanes of the track. Using scissors, start by cutting 4 pool noodles in half, lengthwise. Try to make them as even as possible.

Next, flip over all of the noodle halves and tape them together using black duct tape. The placement of the tape doesn't really matter as this step is simply to create added stability to the track.

Once all of the lanes have been taped together, flip the entire track over. Next, apply a long piece of duct tape where each noodle half connects with the next. After you have taped each connection, only the grooves where you will race the gumballs will remain. I found that cutting the duct tape in half lengthwise worked well for the far left and right of the track.

Download, edit and print all of the elements in the Kids Race Car Birthday Party Printable Pack. Cut out all of the printables and tape Bamboo Skewers or toothpicks to the back of each design. For the Sugar Rush Raceway sign, tape a Bamboo Skewer on the far left and far right of the sign. Then tape two Small Checkered Flags above the sign on the left and right as well.

It's time to decorate your Sugar Rush Raceway! Attach the Sugar Rush Raceway sign, lane numbers and all other décor printables to the track by simply poking them into the pool noodle with the toothpicks and Bamboo Skewers. Also, poke Checkered Flag Suckers through the duct tape on the individual lanes. Leave the suckers standing up vertically so all little party-goers can grab them as they are cheering on the other racers.

It's a blast to go this fast! Race machine-sized gumballs down each lane. The first gumball to reach the bottom is the winner! Have fun!
