Use orange paint and a paint brush to paint the front and back of five wooden pumpkins. Set aside to dry.

Once the pumpkins are completely dry, use a hot glue gun to glue a popsicle stick to the back of each painted wooden pumpkin. Make sure to have an adult do the step with hot glue.

Turn the pumpkins over and use glue to attach a pair of googly eyes onto the front.

Use scissors to cut out a mouth using the adhesive foam color of your choice. Peel off the backing from the foam and stick a mouth onto each pumpkin. Decorate the pumpkins with glitter glue sticks for additional pizzazz!

Once the pumpkin puppets are assembled and personalized, be sure to download the Free 5 Little Pumpkins Fingerplay (a cute little rhyme that encourages learning and play) for a simple hands on Halloween activity that's the perfect mix of creativity, learning and fun all wrapped into one.
