The beginning of this craft can start as a sorting game. We needed orange, green and black buttons. I set out three dishes, and my daughter sorted out the three colors we’d be using. She really enjoyed sorting the buttons!
Note: The orange and green buttons are self-adhesive. However, the black don’t have any adhesive backing, so you have to use glue with those.

Draw a jack-o-lantern face on the DIY Door Pumpkin in the colors that the child should match the buttons to. Start by working on the jack-o-lantern’s eyes, nose and mouth first. Add a little Tacky Glue to the areas, and allow the child to put the black buttons in place.

Have your child continue by adding orange and green self-adhesive buttons to the pumpkin. It’s really easy and fun!

When your jack-o-lantern is complete, add an orange ribbon to your DIY Halloween decor and hang it on your front door.
My daughter is so proud to see her work of art on display at our house!
It’s the perfect not-too-scary Halloween door decoration.
