The first step for this project is cutting out your scrapbook paper to fit the size of your wooden tray. Next, add some fun color coordinating polka dots. I used a cotton swab to get that perfect little dot!

While your scrapbook paper is drying, you can start painting the outside edges of the wooden tray. I selected acrylic paint colors that coordinated with the scrapbook paper.

After both the wooden tray and paper are dry, it’s time to adhere the paper inside the tray. I brushed on simple glue to secure it.

Lastly, I wanted to have my notebooks match my wooden trays since I plan to use them in my office. So, using the cotton swab again, I added playful polka dots of paint.

I just love the simple design of these office trays and the cheerful color they bring to my space. I paired my wooden trays with polka dot notebooks and equally colorful star pens!
