Place 11 craft sticks side by side. Take the glue and squeeze it up and down across the craft sticks.
Place another 11 crafts sticks on top of the glue. Allow the sticks to dry for a couple hours or overnight for best results.

Once the glue has dried you can begin decorating your Popsicle stick coasters. Use sharpies to create subway art. Ella wrote “Mom” right in the center and then wrote words around mom to describe me. (pretty cute, huh!?). Your kids can also choose to draw a picture or even use acrylic paint and paint the coasters.
Once your students design is complete, brush a thin layer of mod podge over the design. Dry completely. The mod podge will seal and protect the artwork.

Aren’t these popsicle stick coasters adorable!? I will be using mine daily, that’s for sure. Need more Mother’s day inspiration? Check out how Ella and Annie made this tin can photo vase and recycled paper picture frames! For more Spring ideas see how we transformed these clay pots.
