Line up eight large craft sticks, about the length of one large craft stick and set aside. Cut a piece of paper (we used plain printer paper) the length and width of your craft sticks. Ella and Annie made lines on their paper to help them write the prayer they chose.
Place tacky glue on the back of your paper and use a glue spreader to thin the glue out. Press onto the eight craft sticks you lined up. Smooth out any wrinkles with your fingers. Repeat on the other side of your craft sticks. The girls put "a pocket full of prayers" on the second side of their pocket bible.
Once the tacky glue has dried, have an adult use a craft knife to gently cut the paper to enable the pocket bible to fold. Make sure to not cut all the way through, only cut the top layer of paper. Start on one side at the top and cut every other stick. Turn the pocket bible over and start on the second stick and cut every other craft stick. Gently snap the sticks where you cut them and do an accordian fold. Tie together with craft ribbon! Put in your pocket for safe keeping!
