Our first step for any dessert buffet is to pick the sweets and plan how we are going to showcase them! The star of our Mr. McGregor’s Garden of Sweets table was the fantastic blue gingham Peter Rabbit topped cake created by our amazing friends at Katie’s Creative Baking! The cake was place on a white cake standatop a rustic crate similar to this one

Not all of your sweets have to be baked goods! We whipped up these Chocolate Covered Strawberry Carrots and placed them on chocolate Graham cracker crumbs on an upside down painted Flowerbox Centerpieces. This was such an easy recipe to make and we love the way it looked in our “garden”!

We also wanted to create an area in front of the table with some more thematic details. We brought in a variety of Galvanized Bottle Vases, Large Galvanized Pails, Medium Galvanized Pots and Galvanized Lantern Candle Holders all filled with fresh flowers and vegetables. We love how inexpensive these products were and know we will use them over and over again!

We filled the Galvanized Lantern Candle Holders with Babie’s Breath and carrots and love the way they looked!

We made a rustic sign on a wood slat sign similar to this and wrote “Mr. McGregor’s Garden of Sweets” as a chic and rural detail for this picturesque setting.

Lastly we set up a Split Rail Fence in back of the table to create more of a farm or garden landscape. This was super simple to assemble and really completed the look of our tablescape! We love the way our Garden of Sweets came together and can’t wait for you to create a garden of delicious desserts all of your own!
