Mix all dry ingredients together in a large pot.
Over medium heat, add water, oil, and peppermint extract.

Stir constantly for 3-5 minutes until the dough forms a ball.
Remove and let cool for a few minutes.

Separate the dough into two bowls. Add a few drops of green food coloring to one bowl and red food coloring to the other.
Knead until smooth and the color is mixed in. Be careful because the food coloring will stain. I have my kids wear aprons or an art smock.

Store playdough for up to a week in an airtight container or plastic bag in the fridge.

We love to share our favorite peppermint playdough with families during the holidays. These mason jars with festive Christmas mason jar lids make great containers for giving away our playdough.
Add a sweet dough cutter shape and ribbon to the jar for a cute holiday gift!
The jars look so festive and are ready for little ones to enjoy!
Try making fun memories with this yummy Peppermint Playdough this holiday season.
