Use a pencil and a bowl to trace a circle in the center of the back of a white paper plate. Using a bowl that is about 5-inches in diameter leaves the perfect amount of space around the rim of the paper plate for your wreath.

Peel the backing off some patriotic star shapes and place them around the perimeter of the paper plate wreath. The patriotic star shapes pack comes with red, blue and white stars in two different sizes. It also has red and white striped stars and polka-dot stars to add an extra festive touch to your paper plate craft.

Cut two strips each of red, white and blue paper streamers about 20-24 inches in length.

Turn your paper plate wreath face down. Use a glue stick to add a dab of glue along the bottom rim of the paper plate. Attach the end of one of your paper streamers on the glue. Then add more glue and attach another paper streamer to the paper plate, overlapping it some with the last streamer you placed on the paper plate. Continue adding glue and attaching all of the red, white and blue paper streamers along the bottom of the paper plate.

Choose a chenille stem to use for hanging your paper plate 4th of July wreath. Bend the chenille stem into a loop and twist the ends together to close it shut. Use a sturdy piece of tape to secure the chenille stem loop on the top and back of your paper plate wreath.

Hang your paper plate patriotic wreath on a hook inside your home or outdoors on your front door for everyone to enjoy. If you are having a breezy day outside, the paper streamers will fly around just like a flag flying high in the air.
