Cut the paper plate in half. One plate will make two rainbow mobiles.
Take one half and punch 6 holes across the bottom part of the paper plate.

Cut the white tissue paper into squares. Add dots of glue to the paper plate half. Take a square piece of white tissue paper that you cut and pinch the center, press tissue paper onto glue. Repeat until your entire plate is covered. Allow tissue paper to dry.
Cut six pieces of white curling ribbon at various lengths. Cut each piece slightly longer than you want it to hang. Take a purple bead and tie a knot around it close to the bottom of the piece of ribbon. You want to leave some ribbon at the end so you can curl it. Knotting this bead, keeps the rest of the beads from sliding off the ribbon.
Slide pony beads onto the ribbon, creating a rainbow pattern by alternating colors. We used red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple! I have that color song stuck in my head, ha ha. Great teaching tool for pre-k kids.

When you have nearly filled the ribbon (leave some at the top to curl), thread the ribbon into one of the holes you punched in the plate. Tie a knot. Curl remaining ribbon at the top and bottom using scissors. Kids may need help with this step. Repeat with the remaining five pieces of ribbon you cut. Hang your beautiful rainbow mobile in your favorite window!
