Spray paint the natural dyed starfish a fun color. I chose a pretty metallic gold spray paint. After completely done spraying with the paint, allow to dry for 30-60 minutes. Mine dried really quick! They look so pretty spray painted gold.
Using large jute cording, begin by adding the white starfish. Take the jute cording and tie around from the back, bringing the loop forward.
Pull the loop up and back over the tip of the starfish. This will create a knot.
Pull tightly on both sides to create a secure knot.
Add one every 8 inches or so. I added 5 white starfish to my garland.
Next, using the smaller jute cording, attach the gold stars.
Begin by tying the jute cording around the tip of the star. Then tie the starfish with the cording around the large jute cording. Cut off excess cording.
Hang on your beach inspired mantle, to add some pretty flare!
