Start this fun craft off by taping off sections of the pick-up sticks with washi tape or painter's tape.
Using various colors of acrylic paint, paint in between the taped areas.
Allow for the paint to dry and do a second coat for full even coverage. After the second coat is applied, remove the tape right away. This will help keep clean straight lines.
After your pick-up sticks are dry, you are ready to enjoy and play with them! Wrap a piece of yarn or string around the sticks to keep all together. Add a simple tag using a piece of black card stock and a white colored pencil.
