Begin by gathering all the DIY wooden beads, red, white and blue wool felt balls, and red, white and blue yarn pom-poms.

Paint the DIY wooden beads, in fun nautical colors of red, white, and navy blue, with a sponge brush. Place the DIY wooden beads on a skewer or stick, to make it easy to paint them. We love this acrylic paint set for all of our crafting. It doesn't have a navy blue, but we mixed the black and blue to get the perfect navy color. So easy to do. Let them dry completely. And then string onto red baker's twine, tying knots in between the beads.

Next, measure out how long you'd like your garland with some natural cording. Begin hot gluing on the red, blue, and white wool felt balls, in 3's spaced out along the natural cording. You'll want to leave enough space between the felt balls for the starfish to be attached.

Once you have all of the felt balls attached, you are ready to add the starfish. Wrap the natural cording around one point of the starfish, and attach using hot glue. Repeat through the rest of the garland.

Now your DIY Nautical Garland is ready to display. Just string both garlands together and hang them up for some extra nautical decor. These really add a lot of fun color and texture to any nautical display.
Make sure you check out all our DIY's for our Nautical Mantel here. All of these nautical decor ideas make me want to escape to the beach!
