Start by painting the exterior of your wooden frame with a bright cheerful color, like this bright coral color I used.

While the paint is drying, measure the INTERIOR dimensions of your frame and cut out a patterned piece of scrapbook paper to fit nicely inside. Next, I cut out a heart shape using the free template and Mod Podged it to the center of the square paper. Download the Free Mosaic Squares Puzzle Art Printable here!

Next, place a combination of the wooden squares on the back of your paper until all paper is covered. Gently move the squares to the side and cover the BACK of your paper again with Mod Podge. Place the wooden squares onto the Mod Podge and allow to dry fully. From the front, you will not be able to see any wooden squares.

Using a cutting mat and a utility knife, slowly and carefully cut out each square. This will give you a perfectly clean cut shape on the paper.

As each piece of your mosaic puzzle is cut out, you can start to slowly arrange in back into your wooden frame.

Your mosaic pattern is now on display! Have fun taking it apart and putting it back together. It is a great piece to display on a shelf or even a coffee table.
