Using Black and White Foam Sheets, cut out mouths for the monsters. You can use the Monster Mouth Patterns. Cut black shapes for mouths and add white foam triangle pieces with glue for sharp teeth!

Bend and shape Bright Colored Chenille Stems into coils and wavy lines. Use a pen or pencil to create coils, and place the chenille stems in and out of fingers to create wavy lines.

Gather googly eyes of all sizes and colors. I love the Enormous Googly Eyes ... what fun! Other fun googly eyes for this project are the Giant Black Googly Eyes, Colorful Googly Eyes, and Large Black Googly Eyes.



Create monsters with the monster body shapes and monster mouths that you can find on the free printable. Then add googly eyes and chenille stems.

Take pictures of each monster on a black foam sheet background. Take pictures of around 12 monsters.

Print the monster images 4 x 6 inches. Kids will use the pictures to create and match their own monster.




To Play the Monster Match Game: Let kids choose a monster picture from the pile. Have kids use the supplies to create a monster that matches the picture. See how many monsters they can create!
