Use the lid of one of the short jars to trace a circle onto the felt with a pencil. Cut the circle out with scissors. The edges do not have to be perfect, as they’ll be concealed with trim later in the project. Use hot glue to adhere the circle to the lid of the jar, as shown.

Use hot glue to adhere silver tinsel garland trim around the perimeter of the lid, concealing any edges of the felt circle.

Roll felt over a DIY Cardboard Cone Shape to create a smooth outer layer, then glue and trim with scissors. Glue the cone to the center of the lid as shown.

Cut a length of contrasting felt to about 1″ by 9″, with scissors. Use the scissors to cut a zig zag shape into the felt, then adhere to the base of the cone hat as demonstrated in the photo. Add a pom pom to the tip of the hat with glue and allow to dry.

Fill the jar with red and green shimmer gumballs and then attach the lid.

Your Gnome Hat Treat Jars are ready to place on your holiday party table, under the tree, or in stockings! We added a cute tag to ours at our Gnome for the Holidays Party, which said, “Merry Christmas, Have a Ball!”.
