Fill small glass jars and the Tiki Totem Pole Centerpieces with supplies to decorate the flip flops. I used ribbon, buttons, balloons, hibiscus flower clips, and leis for our DIY Flip Flop station.

Let the kids choose their favorite supplies and begin decorating their flip flops. If they are using the balloons, have them wrap the balloons around the middle part of the flip flop and tie a knot. Continue doing this until you have completely covered the straps of the flip flops.

If the kids are using ribbon, add a small dab of hot glue to the ribbon and adhere it to the flip flop. Continue wrapping the ribbon around the strap of the flip flop, adding a small dab of glue as you go.

Finish the flip flops by adding flower or button embellishments.

Download and print the flip flop favor tags and cut them out. You can download the Free Flip Flop Station Printable here!

Place the finished flip flops in the cute mini flip flop tote bags. Write the girls' names on the back of the printable flip flop favor tag and tie it to the bag so they can take them home.

Have fun creating your own DIY flip flops at this colorful and interactive flip flop station. I used a hibiscus table skirt to dress up our otherwise plain station table.
See how we threw a special Tiki Time Tween Birthday Party complete with a Tiki Bowling Game and delicious Piña Colada Brownie Bites!
