Paint the inside of your white craft roll green. I just painted the upper quarter of the roll. If someone is above you, then they will only see green, as opposed to leaving it unfinished. You can also paint the outside if you want, but I didn’t think that was necessary.

While your paint is drying, create 3 different sizes of pineapple leaves. I just sketched a few and cut them out and used them as my templates. My largest size was 7″, the medium size was 5″, and the small was right around 4.5″ in length. You can vary the sizes and shapes. I didn’t want my pineapple headband to be too tall, but 7″ was my max height. Trace out your three different sizes on the three different shades of green cardstock. I traced out 6 (2 large, 2 medium, and 2 small) of each color in each size. Then cut out all of your pineapple leaves.

Start with the tallest leaves first. Using your Surebonder® Low Temperature Mini Glue Gun and Surebonder® Cool Shot™ Low Temperature Mini Glue Sticks place glue towards the bottom half of the leaf and press it onto the white craft roll and wrap it around. I started about 1/4″ away from the bottom. If your leaves are long enough, you can start at the very bottom of your roll. If the Surebonder® Cool Shot™ Low Temperature Mini Glue Sticks isn’t hot enough, you may have to switch to regular hot glue.
Continue gluing, wrapping, and overlapping the leaves until you make it all the way around the tube. I alternated colors and leaf direction to give it a more realistic feel.

Overlap the tall leaves with the medium leaves. Repeat the same process of gluing and wrapping them around, alternating colors and direction, and overlapping the taller leaves. Lastly, repeat this same process with the smallest leaves. This time, make sure you are putting these at the base of the white craft tubes and ensure that no white is showing. You could always paint the outside of the tube green in Step 1as I mentioned above, but I didn’t think that was necessary.

Now it’s time for some fun. Take a gift card or plastic squeegee. Start with the bottom leaves first. Hold the top of the leaf and the plastic squeegee and curl. Repeat this process until all of your pineapple leaves are wild, crazy, and curled.

Use your 2″ circle punch and punch out a circle. Use this 2″ circle as your template. Trace two circles onto your piece of white felt. Cut out the two circles. They will be a bit larger than what you need and will require a little trimming. Just take a little off until it fits under the bottom side of your white craft tube. Using your Surebonder® Low Temperature Mini Glue Gun, place glue on the outer rim on the bottom of the white craft tube.

Next, find the center of your White Fabric Headband and glue the second white felt circle on the underside of the headband. Lastly, place glue on the top side of the felt circle you just glued in place and add the pineapple leaf craft tube.
