Fill the apothecary jar with the clothespins and sharpen the chalk. Sharp chalk makes writing on a chalkboard so much easier, and your handwriting will look so much better!
On the glass jar place a chalkboard sticker and write a label with your sharp chalk. I wrote wash, so that I can fill the jar with either washer pods or powdered laundry booster.
For the farmhouse style frames you will need the printables. You can download the Farmhouse Laundry Printable here! Then you will need a paper trimmer or scissors, three DIY wood frames, tacky glue and the fabric of your choice.
Trim the printable laundry prints using either your paper trimmer or scissors.
Run a line of tacky glue around the front of your first frame and place on fabric, leaving enough room around the edges to fold over the sides of the frame. Cut out the fabric around the frame.
Cut an "x" shape in the fabric all the way to the four corners of the frame.
Run a line of glue on both sides of the turn button on each side of short edges of the frame and fold the fabric over it, securing it in place. Fold in the corners on the long edges and run a line of glue on both sides of the turn button before folding over the fabric. You should still be able to turn the buttons to secure the frame from under the fabric.
Fold the triangles up and glue to the inside of the back of the frame and trim off the excess.
Place glass, print and back onto frame and close the turn buttons. Repeat with the other two frames and prints.
Tip* The wash and dry and fold and repeat prints are designed to stand next to each other on the shelf, so be sure to make sure the fabric is facing the same direction if you are using a pattern like these stripes.
Cut a strip of the fabric and tie it around the lid of the apothecary jar in a knot to add a little cuteness and texture.
Place your apothecary jar filled with clothespins next to your fresh linens print on a shelf.
Use some white rolled up washcloths or folded towels on a shelf to add some more texture and give your laundry room a more clean finished look.
Laundry day will look a whole lot cuter with these fun DIY decor items...you might even look forward to it!
