Paint 1/3 of the rock black and the remaining 2/3 of the rock red (We also used orange. You can make rainbow ladybugs too!). Apply at least two coats to get nice bold colors.

Once your ladybug rocks have dried, take a black Sharpie® and draw two lines on the back of the head to form a triangle. Fill in the triangle with black paint. Next, draw a line down the middle of the rock to create the wings. Use the Sharpie® to make the black polka dots on the body.

Add the googly eyes using the quick dry glue.

Super cute, right!? We had a blast making these cute rock bugs to use as decorative garden markers. Ella and Annie would love to see what bugs and/or animals you create! Be sure to check out how to craft bumblebee and frog garden rock markers!
