Think about your party theme and decide what would make a fun painting project. Some examples include: wood maracas, wood airplanes, wood birdhouses, tool boxes, ceramic bunny banks, ceramic dinosaurs, princess castle banks, and rainbow ceramic boxes. The list goes on and on, so search your party theme and see what you find.
Cover the table that the kids will be working on with a canvas drop cloth. The cloth will absorb any paint spills from excited little hands. Depending on the location of your party and the age of the kids, it might be a good idea to put a canvas drop cloth on the floor underneath the table, as well.
Set up all the painting station supplies. The paintable craft (we used ceramic wellie boots), paint and paint brushes.
Let the painting begin!
Once the kids are finished and happy with their painting project, write the child’s name or initials on the bottom of the craft. Set them aside to dry, and distribute to the children as they leave the party. A birthday party painting station is a great way to provide entertainment to little party guests, and works wonderfully with any party theme!
