Cover your table with a protective sheet. We used a white plastic tablecloth for easy cleanup. It's also a great idea to wear an apron to protect clothing. Now simply spray a DIY Craft Canvas Banner with water.

Cut out a 3-4" circle from construction paper. Place the circle towards the top of the banner. This will mask out the area for our next step.

Cut a clear thick plastic bag about the same dimensions as the banner. It doesn't have to be exact, just eyeball it. Scribble blue and green marker onto the thick plastic bag, using blue on the top part of the bag and green on the lower half.

While the banner is still wet, place the plastic bag, marker side down, onto the top of the banner. Move your fingers around the back side of the bag to spread the color around banner. The more you mash it up, the more the colors will blend together.

Once you have mashed and blended to your heart's content, it's time to color the sun. Remove the plastic sheet and paper circle and add some yellow paint to the uncolored area.

Dip a Chubby Paintbrush into some water, and then into Tropical Acrylic Paint. This will help to slightly thin out the paint and make it easier to flick. Use your thumb to splatter paint in all different colors along the bottom of the canvas banner. It may be helpful to cover the top half with a bit of plastic or paper as to not splatter paint into the sky. We also used a different paintbrush for each color. This makes it super easy to get bright, vibrant colors and share paintbrushes in a group. We broke ours out by table in fours.

Next, use the ends of the brush handles and dip them into the paint. Paint blobs of color all over the bottom half of the canvas, using a different paintbrush for each color. These will be flowers. While the paint blobs are still wet, add middles to the flowers using the same technique. Allow time for your craft to dry.

Ta da! You've created your own Yvonne Coomber-inspired masterpiece!
