Apply a thin layer of Mod Podge® to a DIY 8x8 Canvas.
While the Mod Podge® is still wet, lay down different square and cut rectangle shapes of tissue paper or construction paper squares. We used a mix of 4” Tissue Paper Squares and Mini Bright Tissue Paper Squares in red, yellow, blue and black. Just like the colors of Piet Mondrian’s art!
Apply a thin layer of Matte Mod Podge® over the entire canvas to help hold the paper squares in place. Allow time for the Mod Podge® to dry.
Once the Mod Podge® is dry, use black washi tape to outline the paper boxes and finish the piece with another layer of Mod Podge®.
Kids will love showing off their artist-inspired art, and it makes a fun addition to kids’ rooms, playrooms, offices and more.
