Paint the wood letters white, then arrange on the embroidery hoops to plan the alignment of each letter. Use craft glue or hot glue to adhere securely into place. Double check when you're finished that the letters don't sag or pull away from the fabric on the hoop.

On the letter "Y" in "Merry'd", hand paint a small apostrophe using white craft paint and a detail brush.

Arrange the finished hoops onto a rustic wood window pane or wood frame, and hot glue to adhere well. Give the piece a shake to ensure that each hoop is securely attached, and reinforce with additional hot glue, if needed.

Embellish each hoop with red and white striped satin ribbon and green ribbon, layered together and tied in small loose knots, then trimmed short. Mini pine cones can also be added with hot glue, and add to the festive Christmas decor appeal.
