Start by tracing letter stencils on the white canvas bag. If you prefer to freehand write, you can do that too! We traced "Jesus" across the top of the bag and "Boo" along the bottom of the bag.
Before you use the sharpies and use fabric paint, place a piece of wax paper inside the bag so the markers and paint do not bleed through the fabric to the other side of the bag.

Using sharpies that are similar in color to the fabric paint you will use, trace the letter stencils. The girls added eyes and a cute spider to the design of their trick or treat bags.

Using the neon fabric paint (LOVE THIS STUFF), outline the letters and fill them in with a small paint brush. Trace the drawings you added with the fabric paint. I was nervous at first with the fabric paint bottles because the outlines reminded me of puffy paint and I thought it may not dry well. It is totally okay to have a thicker outline with this neon fabric paint, it dries awesome!

I love the consistency of glitter glue, so we decided to use the orange glitter glue to paint on some sparkles to the word "Jesus". The glue dries fast and the sparkles look amazing. After the paint dried, I sprayed scotch guard over the bag to protect the fabric and paint. Handwash and air dry the canvas bags once you have painted on them; this will help your creations last!
