Follow the package instructions to connect all of the main pieces of your backdrop frame.

Spray paint the connected pieces of your backdrop stand. Once dry, finish setting up the backdrop frame. I chose gold for this wedding, but go with whatever works for your wedding.

Cut the natural cording so it is twice the height of your backdrop frame. Fold the cording in half and hang the folded half over the top bar. Bring the ends of the cording through the top loop and pull through to secure.

Continue step three until you have attached ten pieces of cording, making twenty pieces.

Each hanging cording group has two pieces hanging down. Split your original groups in two and create new groups of two. Tie these new groups in knots about two inches down.

Continue step 5 until you have about four vertical rows of knots tied.

For the next round, drop the two center pieces of cording from your knots. Leave these two pieces hanging. As you begin your next round of knots drop the next row of cording from your knots. Continue this pattern until you reach the ends of your backdrop on both sides.

Fill a bowl with a bit of water and food dye and dip the ends of your macrame in. Squeeze the macrame to release any extra dye and leave to dry.

Once your macrame has dried decorate the top and sides of your ceremony backdrop with faux eucalyptus. Begin by wrapping eucalyptus around the top left of your backdrop stand and wrap along the pole as you work down. This should hold on it's own but if not, secure with a bit of floral wire.

Finish your backdrop by attaching faux peonies to the top corners of your ceremony arch. Feed the peony stems through the eucalyptus and attach to the backdrop using floral wire.
