Grab 3 chenille stems. We chose to make our rings all one color but you can choose three different colored chenille stems as well to make a multicolored ring. Stack them so they are all the same length. Fold in half around your finger and twist all three stems to form the ring.
Spread out the stems like even pieces of pie.
Starting on one stem, curl up the step nice and tight to form one of the petals. Repeat with each stem.
TIP: Curling the stems takes practice for the kiddos. Keep modeling for them how to do it and they will eventually catch on! Annie, my 4 year old got it after a couple tries.
That’s it! Annie loved making them. I plan on trying this with my Daisy girl scouts as well. Ella used pony and alphabet beads to create a chenille stem bracelet. Once there are enough beads to cover your child’s wrist, twist the ends of the stem so the beads cannot slide off. Trim any excess stem. My kiddos really enjoyed making these personalized chenille stem jewelry. The stems make it easy to customize the size as well as the variety of combinations you can create.
