Cut the handle off of the square bamboo basket. My craft scissors were too dull to do this smoothly so I ended up having to use a pair of my husband’s pruning shears. Smooth out any rough edges.
Editor's Tip: If the Square Bamboo Basket is out of stock, the Square Bamboo Multicolor Baskets or Large Solid Color Easter Baskets.

Wrap a piece of the lace ribbon around the top edge of the basket, use hot glue to secure it.

Put a dab of hot glue on the bottom of one of the pink paper straws. Glue it to the inside corner of the basket. Repeat this step until you have glued a paper straw to all four corners.

Blow up one of the pink balloons and tie it. Add the lace trim and pink twine around the middle of the balloon, use a tiny dab of hot glue to secure it. Feel free to add any other decorative embellishments, like the paper bunting we added for an extra special touch. Place a small dab of hot glue on each straw and carefully secure the balloon to the straws.

Cut out a tag from the chalkboard scrapbook paper and use the chalk marker to write your child’s name. Attach it to the front of the basket with a mini clothes pin.

Add candy, sweet love notes or homemade Valentine’s Day cards to the basket. Last year we made these Valentine You’re So Charming and they were a big hit, we used the same free printable cards and created an updated version for our friends this year using heart charms and twine.
